GCYSA is proud to have partnered with the U.S. Sailing Olympic Development Team for the first of many high-level development clinics aimed at fast-tracking American junior sailors to the top of the international fleet.

US Sailing Team’s Leandro Spina and Quantum Racing sail shape expert Tom Burnham spent three days teaching 8 I420 teams (a new record on Galveston Bay!) about the effects of the different sail controls on straight line speed.

Big breeze on Saturday yielded to sunny skies and lighter air on Sunday to provide a full range of training conditions and understanding of different methods of powering up and depowering the rig.
